<Alex> Can Oklahoma Thunder reach the NBA Playoffs ?

In the NBA 2017~2018 season, Russel Westbrook, Paul George from the Pacers and Carmelo Antony from the New York Knicks have form the "New Big 3" in Oklahoma Thunder. Majority of the social media and sport lotteries predicted that the Thunders has a great chance to win the western conference champion and even the final champion. But after the regular season begins, the thunder had surprised every single NBA fans by giving a bad winning rate and standing; base on their teamwork and standing now, no one can assure that the Thunders can reach the NBA playoffs.

Oklahoma Thunder is one of the most powerful and popular team in the league. The team was originally established as the Seattle SuperSonics, an expansion team that joined the NBA for the 1967–68 season. Since the team was established, many skillful and famous player such as Derrick Fisher, Ray Allen, James Harden, etc had once play for the team and contributed a lot to the team history. Kevin Durant, one of the most popular player today, usually served for Oklahoma thunder for 9 years, he once lead the team to the NBA final against the Miami Heat which was lead by Lebron James. Because of the desire of being a NBA champion, he decided to play for the Golden State Warriors and he successfully got a champ in the following year.

Not only Kevin Durant, Russel Westbrook also plays a significant role in the Thunders. He join the Thunders in 2008 by the NBA draft, he serves for Thunders for 9 years. After Durant left, he carried the entire team in the 2016~17 season. He own a very skillful dribbling, he runs very fast and he has amazing vertical jumping ability. He lead his team into the western conference semifinals in 2010 and 2011, he broke the NBA records by giving 42 triple doubles and he even won the MVP in the same year although his award was a little controversial, but his skill was definitely very professional.

Beside Russel Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony is also the star player in Oklahoma in this season. Carmelo Anthony was an 33 year old player which is rich in experience, he was chosen by the Denver Nuggets in the 2003 NBA draft, and in 2011, he went to the New York Knicks and played 6 years for them; furthermore, he also represented the US and played in the Olympics several times and won 3 gold metal for United States. Although his isolate playing style was kind of similar to Kobe, I still believe Anthony can get use to Thunder's basketball style and won his first NBA champ.

Paul George, another star player in Thunders, was selected into the Indiana Pacer in 2010 NBA Draft, he was the most improved player in 2013 and he won a gold metal in 2016 Rio Olympic, he has a high percentage 3 point shot and possess a good leadership and experience. He was the one the thunders were looking for, he is the one that can completely replace Kevin Durant's position.

However, the 2017~18 season is just their first year cooperating in the same team, the new big 3 still have a lot of time to build their rapport. The time when they are ready will be the time when they beat all the NBA teams and become the NBA final champion.
